EVENING SERVICE SERIES
“Vital Pursuits for Developing My Spiritual Life: Resisting Temptation”
Temptation is a part of life. Until we no longer have a body of sin we are prone to temptation. How then can one truly overcome temptation? In reality, every temptation is an opportunity to overcome and to get victory over sin! With the word of God as our weapon we can always resist temptation!
“But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.” James 1:14-15
CYCLONE IDAI APPEAL“Oh, how I love your law! I meditate on it all day long.” Psalm 119:97
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” James 1:27 Many widows and orphans affected by Cyclone IDAI are vulnerable and in great distress. What could you possibly do today to love them as your neighbours?
